Modelling New Dilbar

I thought I’d have a shot at modelling the village of New Dilbar. I got out my project notebook and sketched a plan to fit one of my 200mm tiles. I wanted there to be a road through the village, heading west towards the old village in
one direction and towards Bushire and the north in the other. I thought my village could be made up of two groups of houses, perhaps an Arab tent and, of course, the fort as marked on the map (see Post 8). I planned to build everything from scratch so I made a start by cutting some card and making the framework of one group of houses – keeping a 10mm figure handy to make sure everything was in scale. Once I was happy with the basic structure I intended to fix the models to a terrain tile ready for the next stage.
