More Disorder

As I mentioned Pendraken’s generic ‘dead horse’ marker (NPX1) in the last post, I thought I might as well try painting one. The saddlecloth, of course, was the defining feature of the figure. I chose to paint it as a red Austrian saddlecloth. The miniature itself wasn’t especially ‘Napoleonic’ – its pistol holders were very prominent, perhaps too prominent for the era – but it definitely had plenty of conversion potential. Luckily with a bit of clipping, I was able to fit the miniature on a 20mm round base. This required just a bit of remodelling of the tip of the horse’s tail. I used a touch of the same grout I covered the base with.
