10mm 1809 Woodland

The tree bases that I put together featured in the last post were designed to stand together as a row of trees, a short stretch of woodland destined for a corner of my Essling battlefield. Luckily with all the foliage clumps added and all the additional clutter, they still could. I wanted a stretch of woodland with no repetition of tree but with no single tree standing out from the others. The most important thing, I guessed, was to add as much variety to the individual tree bases at the same time as keeping the combined bases looking like a single terrain feature.
The trees on 2mm Minibits bases, the Austrian generals on 3mm bases from Warbases.
