French Mounted Colonels

I was looking for a mounted officer figure for 3rd Léger. I had intended to use Pendraken’s Mounted Light Infantry Officer in bicorne (NPF16). However, the figure sports pointed cuffs. Pointed cuffs were not common to French light infantry until later in the Napoleonic Wars. Because of this, I had used French line figures for the rest of the regiment. I sneakily swapped a light infantry mounted officer with the French line infantry mounted officer already painted as a light
infantry colonel featured way back in Post 19, his regiment being made up of French light infantry figures with pointed cuffs. The French line infantry mounted officer figure (NPF14) has gauntlets that hide his cuffs. The only other distinguishing feature would have been the line infantry’s square rather than pointed lapel ends of the
light infantry.  However the lapels on both figures are the same, so it was a paint job to mark the distinctions. FAR LEFT Pendraken NPF16. LEFT Pendraken NPF14 painted as a light infantry colonel. ABOVE Pendraken NPF14 painted as a line infantry colonel.
