As I mentioned back in Post 24, the Old Glory mounted figures don’t match their mounts at all well. It took lumps of green stuff to build up the bellies of the horses and raise the height of their backs where the riders are meant to sit. The result was a definite improvement but without a major rebuilding of saddles and horses, the figures were left still looking unfinished. Is there a point where the reins and the hands meant to be holding them are so far apart that it looks like the rider is a mime artist? Or is it just me? The figures received a bit of rough handling while I worked with the green stuff. In future, I would paint them after mounts and riders got it together.

A Bit of Green Stuffing
